Assamese, Hindi and Ahom are all supported by this software. Both Unicode and non-Unicode formats are provided and the app itself is able to be configured directly from the system tray. Jahnabi Multilingual Input Tool has been designed with an ambitious objective of establishing Assamese Language and Literature in the cyber world. This tool has been distributed “Free of Cost”. This tool has been designed to enable a user to write Assamese in both Unicode and Non-Unicode methods. (Although support for Assamese language was the primary aim but it has been upgraded to support any language in the world whether Unicode or non-Unicode .) Moreover, an advanced user having knowledge on Unicode can create his own keyboard for any Language by modifying a layout file.
